From The San Jose Mercury-News: It's interesting that the only two plays to win the Pulitzer Prize without having first been produced in New York, Robert Schenkkan's The Kentucky Cycle and Nilo Cruz's Anna in the Tropics, both met with less-than-rapturous receptions when they did finally reach Broadway. Hmm. Could it be the New York critics have gotten a bit too used to anointing the Pulitzer winners themselves? In any event, we're please to report that Schenkkan has found himself a home at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. (Registration required. Use ours if you like.
