Gerald Kosloff gave up playwriting when theatres back in 1957 passed on his Alcibiades the Athenian, a full-blown "Greek" tragedy. But his son remembered the play, and now, as an 80th birthday present, Kosloff's family has arranged for its New York premiere.
TV winner "On the Third Day" to close early

On the Third Day has been voted off the island. The winner of Channel 4's "The Play's the Thing" reality series will end its West End run a month ahead of schedule. Too many people home watching TV, maybe.
